The Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds

Jaipur is a picturesque city enclosed by fortified lipstick-pink crenellated walls.  Jaipur, the 12th largest city in India, is well known for its opulent palaces, beautiful gardens and excellent North Indian Cusine.  Rajputs built this city using pink (a symbol for hospitality) colored stone walls.

The Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds, is the signature building for Jaipur.
Jal Mahal and Rambagh palaces are known for its magnificent architecture and breathtaking beauty.    Jaipur is also known for Sanganer fabrics with gold and silver embossed printing and blue pottery made out of cobalt glaze background and hand painted white flower designs.
